“I think the most-common cause of impeller failure I see is simply old age,” says Dan Jansen, the lead certified Mercury technician at Mr. Marine in Fond du Lac, Wis. “Even with our short season, I find a lot of impellers that are too worn at the tips to pump well, or are really stiff. We make changing the impeller part of our off-season lay-up program, because if it fails you can have much more expensive problems.”

Connie has been with Mr. Marine since 1992.  She has over 20 years of experience in the marine industry.  Connie will take care of all of your parts and accessories needs. Connie attended Mercury's Service Management Institute.

Dan Jansen | Lead Service Technician

Dan joined the Mr. Marine team in 2006, bringing a variety of marine repair skills and an educational background in marine repair.  Dan graduated from Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College’s Marine Repair Technician program and has 10 years of experience in the field.  Dan is Mercruiser & Outboard Certified.

Jesse Hoed | Service Technician

Jesse is a recent graduate from Marine Mechanics Institute and joined our team in October 2010 as a service technician.  We are pleased to welcome Jesse, a native of Rockford, IL to the Mr. Marine team.

Mark Gewirtz | Owner & General Manager

Mark is an avid marine sports enthusiast and recently joined the Mr. Marine team as owner and general manager.  Mark’s background is in offshore racing, but has years of business management/ownership expertise.  We are proud to welcome Mark to the family!
